Kind Regards Dspace Technical Support

I hope you can help me with the problem I have to show Solr statistics in my Dspace page, I have searched all the available information and reviewed the documentation, but I can't find a solution, and the statistics page shows the message "data not available", and when I make the query by url/server/#https://url/server/api/statistics I get the message
"{
  "id": null,
  "type": "statistics"
}".

Without more to add, I say goodbye, and thank you in advance for your help.

Hi,

You may want to check your Statistics configuration to ensure it is correct, namely the "solr-statistics.server" setting documented here: https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/SOLR+Statistics#SOLRStatistics-ConfigurationsettingsforStatistics

If it is correct, and it's still not working, then you might want to look for error messages in your backend logs.  Here's our troubleshooting guide which has tips for finding that info: https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSPACE/Troubleshoot+an+error#Troubleshootanerror-DSpace7.x(orabove)

Generally speaking, these statistics should "just work" assuming the configurations are correctly pointing at your Statistics index in Solr.  But, if there are errors occurring on the backend, that may cause them to no longer work.  If you find any backend errors and cannot figure them out, feel free to send them to this list & we'll see if we can help.

Hi Cardenas,

We had the same issue although solr was configured correctly and tested successfully. Found below from the log:

"ERROR unknown unknown org.dspace.statistics.SolrLoggerServiceImpl @ java.lang.IllegalStateException: The required 'dbfile' configuration is missing in solr-statistics.cfg!"

In the config file, the description says "This MUST BE CONFIGURED if you want statistics with location data." But in our case, it needed to be enabled in order to get the statistics working.

Regards,
Bryan
