Hi, all--

My team noticed that when we add material to the field dc.description.acquisition, it shows up in DSpace 7.4 with a field label "Source." To my knowledge, "Source" isn't a DC default label. I'm curious: is there a list somewhere of the labels that are associated with the various dc fields that are available by default? (I'm not seeing it in github, but I could be looking in the wrong spot.).

Are those labels customizable?

Thanks,
Paige

Hi Paige,

All DSpace 7 field labels displayed on the Item page should be defined in your language pack file in the U, usually right around this location:

I'm not seeing any default given to the "dc.description.acquisition" field... and strangely that field doesn't even appear to be in the out-of-the-box "dc" schema that comes with DSpace: https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/blob/main/dspace/config/registries/dublin-core-types.xml

So, my best guess is that this is custom code on your end, or someone added this field to your "dc" schema.  All schema can be modified from the Admin UI interface (Under "Registries -> Metadata")
