Dear DSpace Team,
We are working with DSpace Version 7.1.1. Right now im trying to get the keyword input in a submission as free text. But it doesn´t work. Only the controlled vocabulary keywords are selectable. I tried to change the attibute into [closed = "false"] for the vocabulary tag in the submission-forms.xml but that doesn´t work either. As I understand it should be free text on default?
Is there any advice on how to make the keyword input as free text work?
Thanks in advance,
Karin

Hi Karin,
If I'm understanding correctly, you'd just want to remove (or comment out) the <vocabulary> tag (in submission-forms.xml) to make the "Subject Keywords" field free text. That will allow you to enter free text keywords without requiring any controlled vocabulary.
