Idle in transaction issue

Hi,

 

We have been experiencing recently the issue of filling all the database connections in the pool, by “idle in transactions” connections.

 

Given that the DSpace version used is 5.4 and the db.maxidle is set to -1 (unlimited).

 

So I am wondering if NOT limiting the idle time is the cause?  

 

Could you please advise if limiting the idle time is recommended or not? And what are other workarounds can be done to solve this issue?

Hi Nada.

I have hit the same issue with db.maxidle = -1. I set it to 10 and the problem is resolved.
