All,

As of this month, all DSpace 7 bug reports and feature requests are moving to GitHub Issues. Any existing DSpace 7 JIRA tickets are being migrated to GitHub issues (in the coming days).

As our DSpace 7 team has gotten further along in the development process (see our recent beta 3 release), we've found it easier to use GitHub for everything, including managing any bug/feature tickets. This has several key advantages:
  1. Developers are able to keep all their work in GitHub, without having to check two systems.
  2. Community members (i.e. you) are able to report bugs in GitHub, without having to signup for a separate JIRA account.
  3. The DSpace 7 team is able to utilize GitHub Project Boards for all upcoming beta release planning. You can find our new project boards (for beta 4 and other upcoming releases) linked from https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSPACE/DSpace+7+Project+Boards

What does this mean for you?
Please note, we are not moving away from our existing Wiki (https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSPACE) or Wiki Documentation (https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC6x). So, if you wish to help improve our documentation, you will still need a separate Wiki login account (and those may be requested by emailing wiki...@lyrasis.org).

If there are any questions, feel free to let us know!

Tim Donohue
(On behalf of the Committers & DSpace 7 team)
