As of this month, all DSpace 7 bug reports and feature requests are moving to GitHub Issues. Any existing DSpace 7 JIRA tickets are being migrated to GitHub issues (in the coming days).
As our DSpace 7 team has gotten further along in the development process (see our recent
beta 3 release), we've found it easier to use GitHub for everything, including managing any bug/feature tickets. This has several key advantages:
- Developers are able to keep all their work in GitHub, without having to check two systems.
- Community members (i.e. you) are able to report bugs in GitHub, without having to signup for a separate JIRA account.
- The DSpace 7 team is able to utilize GitHub Project Boards for all upcoming beta release planning. You can find our new project boards (for beta 4 and other upcoming releases) linked from
https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSPACE/DSpace+7+Project+Boards
What does this mean for you?
If there are any questions, feel free to let us know!
