503 Service Unavailable - Apache/2.4.29 (Ubuntu) Server at dspace.zu.edu.ly Port 443

Dear Professionals,  

We are having trouble displaying the Digital Repository page, as we are no longer able to access the repository.

In the past, when this problem was occurring, we restart the server, and this step was sufficient to solve the problem, but now it no longer fixes this problem.

Please help solve this problem because we rely on the digital repository to display the institution’s scientific journals.

when i restart the server manually i got this error  

root@dspace:~# /root/scripts/restart-dspace

Stop Tomcat

Restarting PostgreSQL

Cleaning out old xmlui cache files

rm: cannot remove '/var/lib/tomcat8/work/Catalina/localhost/_/cache-dir/cocoon-ehcache.data': No such file or directory

rm: cannot remove '/var/lib/tomcat8/work/Catalina/localhost/_/cache-dir/cocoon-ehcache.index': No such file or directory

Remove old catalina log file

rm: cannot remove '/var/log/tomcat8/catalina.out': No such file or directory

Start Tomcat

Hi Ahmed, can you confirm that Tomcat 8 is still installed and is installed to the usual place? The missing cache files aren't so concerning but the fact that the main 'catalina.out' file is also missing makes me think maybe Tomcat has changed, perhaps due to an update? Can you see anything else in /var/lib/tomcat8? Use your package manager to confirm that tomcat is installed and list the files? (this is usually done with eg. dpkg or rpm)
