Hello folks,

Out of curiosity, is anyone using SWORD to ingest OA resources by your community members into your repository?  If so...

(1) What resources are you ingesting?
(2) Are you using version 1 or 2 of SWORD?
(3) Version 1 of SWORD is 'fire-and-forget' (no update options permitted), whereas apparently version 2 allows you to create an artifact file by file before deposit... what does version 2 look like in a DSpace repository?

Thanks,
Carolyn.

We use both versions of SWORD for publisher deposit of CC-licensed articles (MDPI, ACM, BioMed Central) and for faculty deposit of articles from Symplectic Elements (version 2).  We use both versions the same way.

Virginia implemented new accessibility rules in April which we must follow as a public university, and unfortunately none of these publishers is producing accessible PDFs at the moment, so I am rejecting them from our approval queue.
