DSpace, ORCID, & PIDs Survey Results

Hello all,

In order to better understand the global DSpace community’s needs related to ORCID and other Persistent Identifiers (PIDs) in DSpace, staff from the ORCID US Community program conducted a survey from June through October 2025. The survey received 93 responses, representing 78 organizations in 26 countries. 

The results of this survey have been summarized and are available through this blog post: Advancing ORCID and Persistent Identifiers (PIDs) in DSpace: Community-Driven Priorities. The post provides a high level summary of the survey responses, a list of PID-related topics that were identified for further discussion, and a link out to a more detailed look at the individual survey questions and answers.
