Dear DSpace Community,

The DSpace Program is seeking two individuals from the community at large to serve as a member of the DSpace Leadership Group for the 2026-27 term (Nov 1, 2026 - Oct 30, 2027).
Beginning today, we invite anyone in the DSpace community to nominate an individual who you believe would be a good community-at-large representative (self-nominations are welcome).
Individuals serving on the DSpace Leadership Group play a key role in setting the strategic direction and priorities of the Program through the approval of the annual budget allocation and Program roadmap and in establishing the annual community direction.
Ideal candidates should be familiar with DSpace and have an interest in being engaged with key Program decisions and the broader user community. It is also helpful if the candidate has fiscal or staffing responsibility within their organization and can bring the commitment, creativity, and dedication that the role calls for. Please note that DSpace membership is not a requirement to nominate an individual as a community-at-large representative.
Visit the DSpace wiki to learn more about the DSpace Leadership Group and DSpace Governance.
Please submit your nomination using this form by Friday, September 11, 2026 (EOD).
Next Steps After Nominations Have Been Submitted
Once the nomination phase has concluded, the Leadership Group will elect two representatives from the pool of candidates. Evaluation of candidates will occur based on experience, geographic representation, and engagement with the DSpace Community.
If you have any questions about the project governance or the nomination and election process, please feel free to contact me directly or reach out to in...@dspace.org
Best,
Holger
