Question about adding school information in metadata

Dear DSpace Community,

I have a question regarding metadata in DSpace. While submitting an article, I would like to include the school of the student who wrote the paper. However, I could not find an appropriate field for this.

Should I add this information under the Subject field, or is there a more suitable field/option for including the school or affiliation?

It is better to define a new qualifier in the register as dc.creator. affiliation or dc.creator. affiliation or  dc.contributor.affiliation.

Adding a qualifier may be a simple solution, however, it also has an major inconvenient if there are multiple authors, as DSpace cannot make a link between an affiliation and a specific author.

The use of configurable entities (available since DSpace 7, see documentation: https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/Configurable+Entities) is a way to address this problem.

I agree with what has been said.
There may be different alternatives in this regard, each with positive and negative aspects to consider.

In our case, in our application profile, we decided to include it in the tag:
dc.description.fil

preceded by the author's name.

Although it is not a comprehensive solution, it is the best option in our context.

For several reasons, one of them is to be as close as possible to our national guidelines,  [https://repositoriosdigitales.mincyt.gob.ar/files/Directrices_SNRD_2015.pdf  page 17]  so as not to have to modify the OAI protocol in this case when harvesting using this system, and so that the transfer is direct.
