Statistics in dspace 6.3

Dear Colleagues, I'm using dspace 6's rest api to implement a functionality in dspace, in the process I need to login via rest, and then I'm having problems with statistics, because dspace is counting this as access, and changing the statistics . Could someone please help me, how can I inhibit dspace from capturing the traffic of logged in users, I think this would be the most viable solution.
