Dspace Bulk Import

Dear Team 

  I  have install DSpace 4.2 . successfully . I made bulk import meta data through  SAF Builder  but i got below mentioned error.

root@elims-A8J:/home/elims/SAFBuilder# ./safbuilder.sh -c /home/elims/SAFBuilder/src/sample_data/AAA_test.csv

Recompiling SAFBuilder, just a moment...

Didn't properly detect the charset of file. Setting to UTF-8 as a fallback

Detected input CSV as:UTF-8

Opened CSV File:/home/elims/SAFBuilder/src/sample_data/AAA_test.csv

Output directory is: /home/elims/SAFBuilder/src/sample_data/SimpleArchiveFormat

File: Maryland has been used 0 times.

File: District of Columbia has been used 0 times.

File: New Hampshire has been used 0 times.

Please help how i import data using SAF   Builder . and Please give metadata csv sample. I had lot of doubts in this area please help me kindly do this need full

Hello Raja,

I have used the SAF Package Importer:

Never have I used the SAF Builder:

https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACE/Simple+Archive+Format+Packager

However, the documentation itself seems pretty self-explanatory.

Your error: File: Maryland has been used 0 times. Seems to me, the file is acknowledged by the application but it's not referenced in your .csv file (column 'filename').

The metadata sample in the link above should help you get back on track.

Hello,

the SAF builder is an external tool which can be used to create the
Simple Archive Format from other sources. The Simple Archive Formut thus
created can then be imported into a DSpace instance.

How to import via the Simple Archive Format is documented here:
