Hello everybody,
we are currently searching for an institutional repository and I have a hard time finding information about exporting items from DSpace. We would need to export references in APA style from time to time. However a doable alternative (.bib --> convert) would be possible.
I found this ticket regarding this issue which is closed as "Won't work".
https://jira.duraspace.org/browse/DS-1224
and this export-documentation which is only for "DSpace simple archive".

This feature is currently available out-of-box in DSpace-CRIS https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACECRIS/ an open source extension of DSpace.
It allows export in several formats (extendible) from the item page or from the browse / search.
It supports extended configuration to map the local metadata to the different format and eventually normalize/transform the metadata (i.e. abbreviate the authors names, extract the publication year only, etc.)
A basic configuration for bibtex, ris and other format is providden. Unfortunately, I don't remember about presentations or other dedicated documentation materials.
The best place to start is probably the default configuration
https://github.com/4Science/DSpace/blob/dspace-5_x_x-cris/dspace/config/dspace.cfg#L757
https://github.com/4Science/DSpace/blob/dspace-5_x_x-cris/dspace/config/crosswalks/bibtex.template
Hope this help,
Andrea

Now I guess that I am not technically proficient enough in this area. Is there a way in DSpace to export references?
I appreciate any help on this topic.
Best regards
Justus
