Hi

we have since installed Dspace 7 via the docker image as suggested by the documentation below on our linux server;

We followed each of the steps and it looks like everything has installed ok however when we try load Dspace via http://localhost:4000/ we are hit with the attached screen.

My guess is the front end has installed ok but there are issues with the backend ?

Any advice if anyone has encountered this issue before would be greatly appreciated!

Regards,
Conor.

Hi Conor,

Yes, a 500 error from the frontend generally means the backend is "inaccessible" to the frontend.  Either the backend has not started properly, or it's somehow blocked from the frontend, or your configuration is incorrect (and the frontend is trying to access the backend via an incorrect URL).   See our "Common Installation Issues" for ways to debug this issue: https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/Installing+DSpace#InstallingDSpace-CommonInstallationIssues   You also should see the troubleshooting guide which can provide tips on how to find underlying errors from the frontend or backend: https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSPACE/Troubleshoot+an+error#Troubleshootanerror-DSpace7.x(orabove)
