Assistance Required for Changing Restricted Collection to Open Access Collection in DSpace 7.6.1

Hi All,

I am facing an issue with a collection I created as restricted, in which I uploaded several items. I now need to make the entire collection open access. Although I have removed the collection's bitstream restricted access and set it to open access under the access control tab, some items within the collection remain restricted.

Even I tried moving items from one collection to another collection but it did not work for me because it inherits the previous collection restricted access.

Could you please guide me on how to ensure that all items in this collection are made open access? I would greatly appreciate your assistance.

Did you try using Bulk Access Management under Access Control tab?

Hi Gustav

By using Bulk access management can we give open access for whole collection

As I have seen in Bulk access management it is based on the item selection

The Bulk Access Management will let administrators edit massively the access conditions of Metadata and Bitstreams on selected objects. 

Usage:

• When logged as Administrator, it is possible to change the access condition to Metadata and Bitstreams on items by following the path: "Management > Access Control > Bulk Access Management".
• Community or Collection Administrators may also use this tool from the "Access Control" tab of the "Edit Community", "Edit Collection" or "Edit Item" page.  In this scope, the tool will only perform changes within the selected Community/Collection/Item.

We have created a collection and given bitstream access restricted in assign roles tab and after that we uploaded items to the collection.

So now we want keep it as open access for the collection items so we followed some steps as mentioned below

deleted the bitstream access which we have restricted in assign role tab  

By using Access Control Tab of Edit Collection 
items metadata ---> open access

bitstream --> open access

So when we try the above procedure all the items in the collection are not getting open access where some of them are restricted.

So we are getting this issue like not all items in the collection are open access only some are getting open access and others as restricted.
