I am using dspace 6 with xmlui interface. I want to know how to import users to dspace and add them to a group to all.

Any ideas about this process?

Regards, Lady

You can use the AIP Import and Export process to migrate a set of users and groups from one repository instance to another.

If you need to create new user records, you could do one of the following.

If you have a list of user accounts that you want to create in DSpace,
you can also use the 'bin/dspace user --add' command. 'bin/dspace
user --add --help' for details.

'bin/dspace' takes a long time to start. You can compose many 'user'
commands into a script, one command per line, and execute them all
with a single invocation of 'bin/dspace run NAME-OF-SCRIPT-FILE'.

I forgot to mention that at this time there is no command-line tool
for placing users in a group. That would have to be done by an
administrator using the GUI: Administrative | Group | search and
select a group | Search members to add.
