Guidance on Creating and Using a Custom Theme for DSpace 8

I am currently working on customizing the user interface of DSpace 8 and have cloned my own theme based on the "custom" theme provided. My objective is to completely remove the default theme and solely use my custom theme throughout the platform.

Could you kindly provide guidance or documentation on the following:

1. The specific files and configurations I need to modify to remove the default theme entirely.
2. Any best practices or recommendations to ensure that my custom theme is applied correctly and consistently across all pages.

Hi,

We have a basic guide for customizing themes in our documentation at https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC8x/User+Interface+Customization

At this time, there's really no need to remove the default theme, as it won't be used unless your configuration references it.  We do not have guide for removing themes at this time.
