SSL Implementation

I installed dspace quite well and am able to access it via http. But for i would like to enable hhtps before it can be used by everyone. I installed certbot certificate and i have enabled both 8443 and 443 port but it is still not working. Anyone with experience concerning this, kindly help

Hi Vincent,

It's unclear what version of DSpace you are talking about.  But, assuming you are asking about DSpace 7, we have instructions in our "Installing DSpace" guide for setting up HTTPS/SSL.

* Backend HTTPS is in step 17 of the Backend Install: https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/Installing+DSpace#InstallingDSpace-BackendInstallation 

* Frontend HTTPS is in step 8 of the Frontend Install: https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/Installing+DSpace#InstallingDSpace-InstallingtheFrontend(UserInterface)

DSpace 6 also has a guide for adding HTTPS in the Installation Docs: https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC6x/Installing+DSpace#InstallingDSpace-DSpaceoverHTTPS

Please be aware that DSpace 6 is now end-of-life.  We recommend upgrading to DSpace 7 at your earliest convenience.
