Hello,

I'm new to Dspace and I hope I can get some idea for this problem.

The items on our repository still show the same number of downloads and abstract views since in December 2018.

Also, the "Total Visits Per Month" doesn't appear.

Anybody have any idea why.....?

Yumi

Hello Yumi,

I have noticed that we are no longer getting the downloads and view counts on our test server running DSpace CRIS 5.10. DSpace CRIS uses a CRON job (/bin/view-and-download-retrieve) to get the counts. This could be unrelated of course, but thought I would mention it just in case

kind regards
Marc

Hi Marc,
thanks for your note. I pretty sure that the two problems are
unrelated

Can you create a separate thread in the dspace-tech mailing list about
the issue that you have with the statistics in dspace-cris or also
better fill a bug report on the DSpace-CRIS github repo
https://github.com/4Science/DSpace/issues ?

For future reference dspace-cris use the script that you mention only
to build the "metric" that is a snapshot of the count get from the live
solr statistics core at some point. So if you see old data in the item
page view/download badge it could be related to the script, if you see
missing data in the detail statistcs page the issue will be mostly
related to the data in the SOLR statistics core.

The basic dspace only has the concept of live statistics, so only the
SOLR Statistics core is involved.

Thanks,
Andrea

Mark and Andrea,

Thank you very much for sharing the info! I'll check the SOLR issues with our IT team.
