Hi,

I have a number of configurable entities I would like to import. They are mostly just a name/title in multiple languages.

Is there an import option to create items/entities that would be an easy transformation from Excel data?

The available options I've found seem to require a folder to be created per entity in the import archive which I am hoping to avoid.

Thanks,

Steve

Hi,

the recomendation/specification  is to define Entities as objects belonging  to specific collections (persons, etc ...) so direct BME import from CSVs (batch metadata editing)  must work and can be defined very easily (at least the BME export to CSV works well for entities of type "person" , tested some days ago)

Best luck

Emilio

Thanks Emilio -- that's the functionality I was looking for but I have an issue -- I'm not sure that batch importer supports adding a language to the text being imported (the text_lang field in the metadatavalue table) in order to capture elements in multiple languages.

Is anyone aware if this is supported somehow?

Found the answer -- you can include language in column headings - e.g. "dc.title[fr]"

Should probably add that to the wiki.
