It turns out the mailers need to be dropped off at the Chelsea Carrier Annex, which is only open 8am-noon M-F. I'll be injecting 4051 pieces into the mail network Wednesday morning. (See attached photo!)
I have 148 spare pieces which are more valuable the sooner they are delivered.
At the fringes of the inner blue area, the USPS coverage will miss a few blocks on Ossipee Road, Broadway west of Paulina, Lowden Ave, and Willow Ave north of Highland. (See attached map and compare to DSNC boundary map.) If there are leftovers beyond that, we could deliver to Tufts campus or low-income housing for diversity of coverage. Otherwise the innermost addresses in the outer red zone are probably along Elm Street southeast of Windom, and adjoining side streets.
Tomorrow I'll be flyering Elm Street businesses for our Elmway pizza meeting and then have a meeting in the evening, so I was wondering if someone would be interested in taking the rest of these pieces and hitting the remainder of the inner blue zone and whatever else you care to?
Or if there's something specific people already had in mind to do with the leftovers, let me know if I should reserve any or all and who they should go to!
Chris
OK, I reserved 30 for Rebecca and will drop them off shortly because I already have her address.
The other ~120 for Sara are in a plastic bag on the front porch at 38 Jay Street for pickup.
Thanks!
Chris
PS - The USPS is full of lies; if you are delivering a mailer in the future, do NOT go to the Chelsea Carrier Annex even if the EDDM paperwork tells you to! They got dropped off at the retail 02144 post office.
