Discussion Group Transition

Hi everyone, 

We wanted to welcome everyone to the new DSNC Discussions Google Group, and let you all know that the Group we have used formerly, Daviss...@googlegroups.com, will soon become an announcement-only message board.  We plan to make this change in 3 days, with new threads from members disabled on 6/1. We don't want to discourage the continuation of any ongoing threads of discussion, so any active conversations will be forwarded here on that date. Please keep these great conversation going!

Going forward, though you will not be able to reply to posts in the announcement -focused Group, questions about information sent will continue to be welcomed, and can be directed to our board at dsnc-...@googlegroups.com, or to any of our individual board members. 

This change is intended to allow for messages with key information to be clearly identifiable and easy to locate. Further, we heard from members who were finding the flow of email notifications from general discussions to be overwhelming- this change will allow for less email volume for those looking to receive only the most essential updates. 

You are encouraged to review your notification settings for both this Discussions group, and for the existing DSNC group. We recommend you choose to be notified of each email in the announcement-only group, as not to miss any important information. You can find this setting in "My Membership Settings" for each group, which is in the left hand menu, second from the bottom. 

We hope this change enables greater clarity and ability to communicate for all. Please let us know if you have any questions about these changes.
