Plastic Ban in Bommanahalli

Dear Members,

Today, I have attended a meeting conducted by some volunteer and BBMP officials on Plastic Ban, behalf of our apartment.

1. They discussed  the challenges that are facing by BBMP on disposing of garbage, especially  plastic.They are not finding any place to dispose the garbage. None of the villages on the outskirts of Bangalore  are not allowing to dump the garbage in their premises.

2. So is the reason BBMP insisting of waste segregation and plastic ban from last 3 months.

3. BBMP, Bommanahalli has decided to ban Platic with effective from March 15th.

4. I have requested the volunteers, to forward the presentation that was shared in the meeting, I will circulate it once I receive.

5. They may also conduct a session in the apartments to educate the residents. 

6. Even garbage bags (black color) are banned.

7. All the plastic that to be sold to a nearest dry wastage collection center, not to dispose along with the garbage.

8. Plastic ban is already being implemented in HSR Layout.

I request the association to have a meeting to discuss the action plans on implementing the plastic ban.

It is not only about the issue of disposing plastic, but also to join hands in making Swacha Bharat and Green earth as responsible citizens.
