The real reason for this evening is to support the Alzheimer's Association in their efforts to find a cure. The percentage of people with Alzheimer's dementia increases with age: 5.0% of people age 65 to 74, 13.1% of people age 75 to 84, and 33.2% of people age 85 and older have Alzheimer's dementia. Help us fight this statistic! In the last 3 phlockings this event raised $18,500. Help push that number to over $25,000!!!!  

Leading up to this event there are a couple things we all can do to contribute to the success of this event and increase the amount we give to the Alzheimer's Association - 

• Please remember to collect items for donation such as gift cards and other items for baskets and/or auction.   It all helps.  Attached below is a flyer for the event and a letter from the club with further explanation of the event. (Contact one of the officers listed below and arrangements will be made to collect the donations)  In addition to this you can drop it by the board meeting Jan 13 6:00 at Machine Shed.
• If you are planning on attending please go ahead and get you tickets now, before Jan 6.  Links to do this are provided below.  The club will get the benefit of the cash prior to the event and it will help in planning.

Willing to bet there is not a person reading this who has not had a friend or family member affected by this debilitating condition.  What an opportunity to contribute to treatments or cure and have some great phun doing so.  Truly a win-win for all - get the great feeling for giving back and have a great time doing so!!!  No better way to carry on as Jimmy said - 'Keep The Party Gong' and the Parrot Head way 'Party With A Purpose'
