Last night, working on my car, the 19mm deepwell socket got a lug stuck in it. Tried using a punch and the punch went into the lug without dislodging it and I barely got the punch out. Looking for recommendations on how to get the nut out.

Put the socket in the vice and use a punch and hammer. You want to get the punch off to one side not in the center, work it around to opposite sides. Good luck. Also if you need another socket there should be a black 3/4" which is nearly the same as 19mm.

I'll give it another go tonight. Thanks!

Hey Steve, in the past I have threaded it part way back on then either tapped on it, and couple of times used a prybar between the hub and socket.

Other method, put it back on and tighten (or opposite of what got it stuck).
Probably a little late since already tried a punch.

Next bit: Heat the socket

Got it freed with a punch. Thanks all!
