ICHR/NUI GALWAY HUMAN RIGHTS CENTRE ARE OFFERING HEART PARTICIPANT STUDENTS FREE PLACES ON THEIR INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOLS!
ICHR/NUI Galway are offering one
free place on each of the following summer schools this year. The subjects are: (1) The International Criminal
Court and (2) Human Rights, Migration and Globalisation. They will take place
in June/July (full details to follow). More information is available on the
following links:
http://www.nuigalway.ie/human_rights/icc_summer_school.html
http://www.nuigalway.ie/human_rights/humanrightsmigrationandglobalisationsu
mmerschool.html
The places include full participation in the summer schools at no cost to the participant.
However, NUI Galway cannot cover visa costs, flights or accommodation for participants
applying for these courses, and these costs will be met by the participant. However
this is a great opportunity and we would like to encourage applications from
all partner university students. We would also like to encourage you to
consider whether your Universities would be able to contribute to costs.
These courses are open to university students from each of the non-EU partners in HEART.
As there are only two places available, selection to attend will be through application via NUI Galway and University of Roehampton. Applications should be e-mailed to Dr Michele Lamb, Michel...@roehampton.ac.uk by no later than Monday, April 29th at 5.00pm.
SELECTION CRITERIA FOR ICHR/NUI GALWAY SUMMER SCHOOL ATTENDANCE.
1. All Applicants must be registered for full time study or have a teaching
contract at one of the non-EU partner universities. Applications from students
and early career scholars are particularly welcomed.
2. Applications should be accompanied by a letter of reference from the non-EU
university partner responsible for HEART in their university.
3. Applicants must explain in their application how they will use their
experience of attendance to further the cause of human rights in their
respective universities and countries and the HEART project. They should also
provide a CV detailing their experience to date.
4. Applicants must confirm at the time of application that they have funds to
cover accommodation, travel and visa costs.
5. Selection of successful applicants will be undertaken by Dr Karen Costa (NUI
Galway) and Dr Michele Lamb (University of Roehampton) and applicants will be
advised by email by 6th May if they have been successful.

one month of the end of the summer school
