Hello DSM gurus, J

Now that we got the green light to join the Society meeting in Tampa it is time to get together once again.

We have a scheduled meeting for the DSM working group and community. I hope you all will be able to join. We have several issues that would like to discus and follow up from the last meeting. Besides updates since the last meeting it would be a good idea to discuss the possible merging of Global Digital Soil Map working group headed by Sabine and the DSM Working group. It is not that we have a huge membership and can spare members. Redundancy was the word used last year to describe the situation. We talked about exploring rules and guidelines on how to proceeded. Hopefully we can have a good discussion and possible solutions. If there are any other items anybody wish to discuss either bring them with you at the meeting or submit to the whole group before so that we could be prepared somehow. I will then incorporate them in the agenda. Below is the information about the meeting and the link.

Another interesting symposium is the one organized by Hangsheng Lin , Timothy R. Green and Patrick J. Drohan. This one in particular focuses on soil water modeling which relies on digital soil mapping especially for continuous raster format soil property inputs.
