Sales Support Engineer
Palisade Systems, Inc. - Des Moines, Iowa Area

Job Description
The chosen candidate will support our sales department by performing
product demonstrations online and at potential customer sites, provide
verbal and written responses to technical questions, perform product
installation services, and post sale configuration services. This is a
full-time position requiring some travel.

Responsibilities:
· Work from our Des Moines office
· Travel to potential customer sites, install and demonstrate
our products.
· Conduct online presentations demonstrating our products
· Provide technical support for our products onsite and via
phone
· Comprehend threats and compliancy requirements facing our
customers and how our products can provide solutions
· Understand and communicate solutions provided by our
products as compared to those of our competitors

· Communication skills to include:
· Ability to lead presentations and demonstrations
· Proactively share information when working in a team
environment

Technical Skills:
· Strong understanding of TCP/IP and experience with WAN/LAN
equipment (switches, hubs, routers …) an absolute must
· Experience troubleshooting network problems and general
problem solving skills a must
· UNIX/Linux/FreeBSD administration experience a plus
· Experience with virtual server environments (VMware, Hyper-
V) a plus
· Experience with Active Directory administration and user
administration via Group Policy Objects a plus
· Experience configuring web and e-mail proxies a plus
· Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Outlook and other email
servers and clients a plus
· SQL-based database experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL) a plus
· Understanding of technical solutions for Internet acceptable
use policy in corporate environments a plus
· Knowledge of how to implement technical solutions for HIPAA/
GLBA/PCI regulations a plus
