Hey Mack, guys!

So after following many of the Mack presentations and the excellent work he did with dsiprouter, congrats!, I started using it in front of 2 fusionpbx I have. Only used as SIP proxy only (not RTP) for my local achaic carrier that doesn't have a self-service so I need to coordinate with them to manage different trunks/routes.

So I'm planning better the design for this voip infra. Can you please advice on this design?

                        INTERNET
         ______                            _____
        |dsip1|                          |dsip2|
        ----------                           ----------

|FUSION1|    |FUSION2|   |FUSION3|   |FUSION_N| ...

                     [CLUSTERED DB]

- Can dsiprouter work in cluster mode? failover or/and LB?
- SIP. Really differences in practice about using stateless or statefull proxy? For carriers and for endpoint(end users)?
- RTP: Any benefit on doing RTP proxy on dsip router instead of use Fusion directly for RTP and doing only SIP proxy, not RTP?
- Endpoints: how endpoints can be configured in case of using 2 clustered dsiprouter servers? Is it possible to not need to set an outbound proxy on endpoints config and set it as a direct fusionpbx config?
- hardening/privacy: Last one... Can be possible to hide all network topology to not show to endpoint more than front dsiprouter? And not VIA/router-record showing internal IPs of FS?

Thanks in advance guys...
And appreaciate your effort Mack and community for this great project! The best approach I think to start with kamailio.

Hey Elkato,

My answers are below:

- Can dsiprouter work in cluster mode? failover or/and LB?

Yes, it's available via a support engagement from us

- SIP. Really differences in practice about using stateless or statefull proxy? For carriers and for endpoint(end users)?

We try to stay Stateless and use loose routing to handle routing SIP messages

- RTP: Any benefit on doing RTP proxy on dsip router instead of use Fusion directly for RTP and doing only SIP proxy, not RTP?

If you are using dSIPRouter between your carriers and FusionPBX then I would just have RTP communicate directly

- Endpoints: how endpoints can be configured in case of using 2 clustered dsiprouter servers? Is it possible to not need to set an outbound proxy on endpoints config and set it as a direct fusionpbx config?

You can setup a DNS SVR record with two ip addresses

- hardening/privacy: Last one... Can be possible to hide all network topology to not show to endpoint more than front dsiprouter? And not VIA/router-record showing internal IPs of FS?

This is not available out of the box, but can be configured via a support engagement from us.
