Hello,

I have been using DSI studio to analyse DTI data and getting very interesting results. However, I have been getting some strange results for span and curl. For most of the samples, I am getting an average span that is longer than the average length, which then results in a curl that is less than 1. Any ideas? I've tried adjusting various parameters without much change.

Cheers,

Kate

Hi Kate,

Did you have an isotropic resolution?

Best,
Frank

Hi,

No, unfortunately the slices are only 1mm thick while the resolution in plane is about 310 micron.

Cheers,
Kate

The correct calculation needs isotropic resolution.
I am sorry that all length or area measures may not work correctly.
