Good afternoon,

I have two users who are preparing to undergo the training session for the Hou version of DSI. It launches successfully, but then crashes to a black screen when trying to open a .fib file. They have reported this error:

QAbstractItemView::commitData called with an editor that does not belong to this view

QOpenGLWidget is not supported on this platform.

QXcbIntegration: Cannot create platform OpenGL context, neither GLX nor EGL are enabled

QRhiGles2: Failed to create temporary context

QXcbIntegration: Cannot create platform offscreen surface, neither GLX nor EGL are enabled

QXcbIntegration: Cannot create platform OpenGL context, neither GLX nor EGL are enabled

QRhiGles2: Failed to create context

Failed to create QRhi for QBackingStoreRhiSupport

The Hou version is located on a server running Ubuntu 20.04, one user is running Mac OS (connecting to the server via a VNC session) and the other Windows (connecting to the server using MobaXTerm).

If they give me any additional information, I will pass it along.  The version of Hou is dated March 28th.

Best,
Brian

Hi Brian,

We have an update to fix some issues.
Could they update DSI Studio and try it again? Let me know if this
still doesn't work.

For Windows and Mac, perhaps just downloading each's DSI Studio
version to run would be the best solution.

Best regards,
Frank

They got back to me after we put the April08 edition on the server, and reported the black screen and the same errors when they open the .FIB file. I have recommended they put the Mac and Windows versions respectively on their computers for the purpose of the training, I am still waiting to hear about that also.

Sorry about the problem.
Currebtly I don't have a solution other than using a native installation.

Best regards

Understood, I will let them know to try the native installations.

Best,
Brian
