Subject Space ROI Not Working

Hi Frank,

I am trying to apply freesurfer ROIs to a subject space .fz file from GQI. I insert the T1w image for that subject using [Slices][Import Other image...] and then load the regions .nii.gz file from freesurfer using [Regions][Load Regions...] but I get the following error:

"No strategy to align aparc_a2009s_aseg with FIB. If  aparc_a2009s_asegis in the MNI space, open it using [Region][Open MNI Region]. If not, insert its reference T1W/T2W using [Slices][Insert T1WT2W] to guide the registration."

I do not have the [Slices][Insert T1WT2W] option. I am using the version from June 3, 2026.

What do you recommend?

Hi Frank,

Yes, I mistyped but this is the option I used. Still, after inserting the T1w I get the error message I mentioned. What do you recommend?

Hi Josh,

The issue is that the FreeSurfer ROI is not currently in the T1w
space. You will need to rerun FreeSurfer to ensure it outputs to the
T1w space so that the registration can align correctly.

Thanks Frank. I used the brain.mgz from freesurfer (converted to .nii) and this worked.
