Dear Frank,

I have a question about the output files from dsi studio that are obtained through correlational tractography. I have created a database that allows me to compare two groups longitudinally in an undirected manner (not just specifically increases or decreases). However, in my output file, I only ever get one image for each group with the caption “The connectometry analysis found tracts showing higher QA/FA in group x.” The image is labeled with dec or inc. However, if there were areas in one of my groups where there is an increase and other areas where there is a decrease at the same time, this could not be represented in this way. Does DSI Studio automatically decide whether to show only the increase or the decrease, or how do I know that there can be no increase, for example, if the jpg file for the group is named dti_fa.group.r4.fdr0.05.dec.jpg?

Thank you very much for your time!

Sorry for the delay. This task is on my queue and I hope to get to it soon.

I have uploaded an example of my output to the Dropbox folder; it is named “Analysis QA Control x Contemporary t1 x t2 effectsize .04 10000 P.” Is my interpretation of the output correct, that in this analysis ONLY an increase (according to the file name of the image) in QA was found in group 3 and no decrease? And that neither an increase nor a decrease was detected in QA in group 1? Or can I only conclude that there is an increase in group 3 and no decrease in group 1, and that further analyses need to be performed to determine whether there is also a decrease in group 3 or possibly an increase in group 1?
