Hi Frank,
I just noticed the 3D rendering options that are accessible via the command line. These features were not available on our current version so we installed the most recent release (July 25 2016) to try out some of these options. We've come across a few issues and I was hoping you could help identify if these are problems.
Launching the GUI gives us the following message...
QXcbConnection: XCB error: 145 (Unknown), sequence: 171, resource id: 0, major code: 139 (Unknown), minor code: 20
Although the GUI does launch successfully and this message seems to be just a warning, I also get a popup with an empty progress bar and an error message that says "please wait for the termination of data processing." Screenshot is attached.
When I submit code to run 3D rendering I also get a warning when I save a screenshot.
$DSI --action=vis --source=test.fib.gz --track="whole_brain.trk.gz" --cmd="add_surface,1;save_image,1"
Starting GUI-based command line interface.
DSI Studio Jul 25 2016, Fang-Cheng Yeh
loading test.fib.gz
starting gui
loading trackswhole_brain.trk.gz
loading
run add_surface 1
run save_image 1
initializeGL
GL_INVALID_OPERATION
The screenshot does save but the GUI window closes immediately. Maybe it is designed to close immediately? If so, would it be possible to add an option to allow the GUI window to remain open? I was hoping to create code that loads tracks for visual inspection, and while I could do this with a 2D screenshot, it would also be great to interact with the track rendering in the GUI and send the code to collaborators so they can easily pull it up as well.
We are working with today's release of DSI Studio on Centos 6.8.
Thank you for any help you can provide!
David
