DSI Studio crash after adding ROIs from imported atlas

Hello! I was following the steps in this tutorial (https://dsi-studio.labsolver.org/doc/gui_t3_roi_tracking.html) to add in the AAL atlas as a new atlas for region-to-region structural connectivity analysis. I successfully transformed the .nii file to the human.QA file and generated the accompanying .txt file with ROI names and added both the .txt and .nii.gz files into the ...\atlas\human path. However, when I try to add this atlas into step T3, DSI Studio attempts to read the files for a few seconds and crashes shortly after. I would greatly appreciate any advice on how to solve this :)

Could you send me the files that can reproduce the crash?

(and also the exact steps)

Hi, Dr. Yeh! Thanks for looking into this. I neglected to mention I am on the latest GPU version of DSI Studio (installed 1/27/26). Here are the exact steps I took:

1) Go to R1L Linear Registration within the Tools tab of the GUI

2) Select ROI_MNI_V4.nii as the Subject Image

3) Select dsi_studio_win/atlas/human/human.QA.nii as the Template image

4) Click Refine in the Registration GUI

5) Click Run registration in the Registration GUI

6) Go to Files -> Save Transformed Image and save as ROI_MNI_V4.nii.gz

7) Add ROI_MNI_V4.nii.gz and ROI_MNI_V4.txt into dsi_studio_win/atlas/human/

8) Exit DSI Studio and restart DSI Studio

9) Enter Step T3: Fiber Tracking 

10) Select the ROI_MNI_V4 atlas from the Atlas tab in step T3a: Assign Regions

At this point a progress bar will appear for a few seconds but remain at 0/100% and then the GUI will crash.
