Hi Frank,
i really enjoy DSI Studio it is very fast and intuitive and provides the most beautiful trakt rendering that i have encountered so far.

howver since a few days DSI Studio crashes, as soon as I open the .fib file in "T3".
The Window opens, but crashes as soon as I interact with it.
deleting and reinstalling the latest version of DSI Studio did not help.
i recently updated my graphics driver as well as did some work with WSL/WSL2 und ubuntu on my Win10 System.
Apart from that nothing has changed on my system.
Have there been any similar issues?
Does DSI Studio have some WSL dependencies, that i screwed up by upgrading to WSL2?

kind regards,
Chris

Hi Chris,

Sorry about the crash. DSI Studio uses OpenGL and does not have
WSL dependencies.

You can click on the [console] button at the bottom of the main
window to bring up the inner message loop. The message before the
crash would provide a hint for the cause.

You can also try opening the HCP1065.fib.gz file under the
/atlas/ICBM152 folder and see if it also crashes to rule out the
possible cause in the FIB file.

Best regards,
Frank

Hi Frank,
thanks for the quick response!

the crash occurs with the ICBM1152 file as well.
the console prints over and over:
"GL_INVALID_VALUE at setupMaterial"

kind regards,
Chris

Your OpenGL driver may need to be uninstalled and reinstalled.
Hope this works for you.

Thank you for the suggestion!
Sadly that did not work.

Right now i do not believe the problem lies with the driver.
i tried reinstalling the driver as well as reinstalling the old driver, but nothing changed.

do you have any other suggestions or ideas?

run regedit and erase all entries under
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\LabSolver\DSI Studio
Hope this saves the problem.

That did not help either..

If I find a fix in the future will write another post here.

Thanks for your time anyway and have great holidays!
