to DSI Studio
Hi, I’m running into an alignment/orientation problem when trying to overlay DTI tracts results from DSI Studio onto a T1 anatomical MRI.
Here’s my workflow and what I’m seeing:
I generated tracts in DSI Studio and saved a tract density image (TDI) as NIfTI (Tract_tdi.nii.gz).
My target anatomical image is a T1 NIfTI.
When I load the TDI as an overlay on the T1 in Mango, the tract overlay is rotated/shifted and doesn’t match the anatomy, which looks like an orientation or space mismatch.
Could you advise on the recommended way in DSI Studio to export tract outputs so they align correctly with the T1 in Mango?
Thank you,
Aesha

Hi Aesha,
The DWI and T1W are in different resolutions and dimensions. Once
solution is load T1W after opening the fz file in DSI Studio and then
export TDI to the T1w space.
