Hi Dr. Yeh,

First off, thank you for the great software!

I have a quick clarification question regarding the built-in tract atlas (I've been using for tract recognition) to ensure I am providing the correct citation in my upcoming work.

I noticed that the built-in atlas (human.tt.gz) contains 106 labels, which differentiates it from the atlases described in your primary publications:

Since the DSI Studio default atlas includes these additional tracts not explicitly detailed in the 2018 or 2022 papers, I want to make sure I am not misattributing the source.

Here's just a couple of the tracts I see in the 106-label version not present in other tract atlases:

  • MedialForebrainBundle
  • Association Hippocampus Alveus
  • Ansa Lenticularis

Is there a specific newer reference that covers this 106-tract version, or should I continue to cite one of these prior papers with a note regarding the expanded label set? I want to make sure the credit goes to the right place.

Best regards,

Joseph Turner

The methodology for mapping them is similar, and there is no other reference that can better represent them.

Best regards
Frank
