Dear Frank,
I recently switched to a new Macbook, where I found the DICOM to SRC process went wrong on my Mac (Hou version 15, Sep 4 2025). Despite changes on different version (Hou 13,14,15), it happened the same.

For example, the same raw data, same version of DSI Studio running on different Mac, the SRC file generated from mine is 5.3MB, but always failed to generate the proper tracts even though after motion corrections and isotropic adjustment.

However, if I continue the work with other's SRC file (7.5MB) , the whole process will be smooth and the final tract is accurate.

I uploaded both SRCs, and raw data,  hoping if you can have a look on that.

Thank you.

Best,
Lee Kha Liang

The DICOM files used to create .sz are incomplete (one has 16 DWI, and another one has 17):

You may check out these two .sz files and see the differences.

Also, another problem is that the last dwi does not have bx by bz. Likely the conversion from DICOM to SRC has an issue parsing the b-table.

I would suggest using MRIcron to convert DICOM to NIFTI first and then process using DSI Studio to see if this issue can be resolved.
