Hi! Im at 2nd year on med school and I am working on a project for a internship in a neuroanatomy laboratory. For that project i started using DSI Studio for no more than 5 or 6 months, so im not an expert in the mattter. My problem is that I need to use some free sample chimpazee resonances that I had downloaded from this link. But when I try to track the fibers I got a strange vertical pattern as seen on this image:

muestra tractografia error p foro.jpg

I think I am doing something wrong when creating the .src file because when I do the reconstruction from pre maded .src files it works great, but when I use one of the human conectome project .nii files the problem appears too. (This make me think too that the .nii files from chimpancees aren´t the problem).
I hope you can help me because I dont undestand so well the procedures to create the src file. I uploaded the .nii file used on the pic at this google dirve folder:

Thanks a lot for your help.

It seems to me that there is no diffusion MRI data here, and all we have is the structural image. Unfortunately, it is impossible to run fiber tracking with only the structural T1W.

Best regards,
Frank

Hi Frank! Im back with the same problem. This time I could obtain some MRIs labeled as containing DTI information. Im uploading the files to this link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1RwIzGxi3QYAo_lkk-NH4AYQWXmcUnwBE its exactly the folder I could obtain. There is no b-table included. Is that a barrier when get using those files to fiber tracking? I was using the example table found in this page tutorials, but yet I dont undestand if this is correct.

Again, many thanks! (and sorry for the coarse of my questions.)

Sorry I could not download the file.

Could you upload the data using the link provided in the Discussion group?

Hi! I forgot to set the drive folder as public. Now I did correct the error, sorry for that. Also, I have uploaded the files to the dropbox, just in case. Many thanks again! (file name in dropbox is "monkey mri.rar")

I checked the nifti file, and it appears to be an invalid one because the header shows it is a 5-dimension image volume, and DSI Studio cannot take it. The DWI nifti we usually have is a 4D dataset.

Also there is no b-table information.

I am sorry that DSI Studio cannot process this data set here.

Best regards,
Frank
