This week we had Teachers In-service Training by Christine Stone for the grade teachers. Teachers from the sister schools: Shringery and Sisnery also participated. She had 4 sessions and we have recorded them all.

From next week, we've planned to do the shooting. We have scheduled for Class 4 Nepali on 9th August and Class X Social on 12th August. We are working on the schedule for other grades and teacher for external shooting.

We'll keep on updating you.

Regards,
Kush

Most excellent!

Thanks for the update!

Was Christine Stone's stuff in Nepali or in English?  If it's in Nepali, it would be even more useful with lot more schools!

Once you digitize that stuff, let me know, and I'll try to suck it out of your machine and have a look.

We can also make smaller versions of it and put it on Youtube like Amadeep's initial videos, which have been seen by many people!

And I'm looking forward to next week's filming of yours.  And I'm looking forward to the schedule too!

On my front, my arrangement with Intel is working out well!  Once you have sufficient good content, I will be able to organize Intel equipment in recipient schools in Nepal like Wangccho's school.

I'll say more about this later...

I apologize if I've been sounding pushy.  I'm just personally very motivated to see stuff working out in Nepal!  I think it has huge potential!

Sure, of course anyone who can contribute content would be greatly welcome!

Places like "room to read" have money so they should be encouraged to invest in their own camcorders and stuff.  If they need help to get started, Kush and some other computer teachers who came to my little tutorials can help them, at least with the filming tips.

Preferably, the digitized content should be loaded onto a single "DSH-Nepal" computer for easier management, although I'm open to having more than one place that looks like "Kush's computer" if other places produce significant content of their own.  I can actually set up machines remotely and run tutorials remotely if necessary.

Regardless the other possibilities, however, I think it's important that Shuvatara School produces a steady stream of high-quality lessons of its teachers because the school has good teachers.  Among other things, it can set a good example for others to follow.
