Hi all,

I've just posted to the DSF blog asking for volunteers for 2 committees:

 * a Grants committee

 * the Code of Conduct committee

Details in the blog post:

If you are interested in volunteering, get in touch!

Do we want to limit the call for the Code of Conduct to members of the Django community? It might be interesting to have people in the committee who are not necessarily experienced in Django, or even in software in general, but have experience with this matter. Academics, or professionals (HR?), ...

If we think this is a good idea, we need to get the call out there - but I have no idea where "there" is, or what channels could be useful. I'm not experienced in this myself, I just had this thought :-)

Regards,

Jan Fabry

If there's someone outside the community who has skills/experience, is broadly aligned with the values of our community, and is willing to help - I can't see why we'd turn them away.

However, I'm also unsure where "there" is :-) Any suggestions are welcome.
