SRT technically doesn't really support positioning*; they are very basic
text files that have the start/stop time, the text, and support a couple
of html-like styling tags like <b> and <i> for bold and italics (though
I've never seen bold used in the wild) and <br /> for linebreaks.
You can sometimes use <font> tags to do things like change color, but
whether or not the player will grok them, ignore them, or actually just
show the raw text is a surprise. I know Vimeo's player doesn't support
<font> and will just show the code as part of the text.
* There are a couple of special positioning codes like {\an8} to put the
entire subtitle at the top of the screen, but again, your mileage may
vary -- ultimately with SRT the text rendering as a whole is completely
up to the player. I'm not sure if Vimeo supports it, or strips/ignores
them, or if Premiere is even writing those in an SRT (which I'm guessing
it's not. Open the SRT in a text editor and look.)
