Has anyone had success trying to use DS ref files- AVI or QT to import into say a Flint, Flame or Smoke?

For arguments sake – let’s say Linux versions.

Or am I just dreaming?

To answer the question basically - no.

But I would look into the product called Tether. This is a standalone
app created to help lessen the pain of integrating QT with the smoke /
flame world.

It is not possible, there is not codec to install on the Linux box for that. Would be fantastic, I’m going to ask if they have any plans to support it, or if there is any legal problems with that

One technical problem I can see, is that the Linux box does not see the whole windows network the same way windows machines does. That can make it a bit complicated to work.

Thanks all. That’s what I thought.
