Geez, I logged in for an question from FCP to DS Red workflow, and have since received 10 thousand emails with everybodys questions about everything!

The list is also available in a browser without subscribing and receiving the bazillion e-mails that are generated daily.

Unsubscribe has long been a joke (long before the days of Google Lists) and many of us can't forget pointing people to the place to "unsubscribe."  We even had big red arrows that pointed you to the unsubscription link.  Now with Google Lists it's not as easy to point out.
 
In any case, you'll need to go to your Google account to unsubscribe - you can't just send a message to the list.  I hope you got the information you needed.  As Gus (our favorite moderator) has already pointed out, you don't need to get every e-mail you can change how information is sent to you (again at Google Lists - change your subscription).
