Captions for DVD and BluRays

I forgot how to add a captioned file to DVD or BluRay discs.

In the past, I think we exported a specific quicktime or other format file that allowed Closed Captions to be embedded in the movie file, that then worked with DVD's on playback.

What is that file format that allows this. The current version of Premiere and Media Encoder do not show Caption files allowed, that box is grey'd out or disabled in the encode options.

Can we add a caption sidecar file to the DVD or BluRay.. if so I have not figured out how to do that either.

Ok, so the trick is....
Set caption track in Premiere to 708, NOT 608.. and then export as an MXF file to allow Captions to be Embedded, instead of Burned in or as a Sidecar file

Ok, well so far not really, MXF did not embed the captions

Ok, so Export with 608 Captions and then embed works in MXF Format for Embedding.

Sorry for all this not that valid info...
Finally got Premiere output Quicktimes to accept embedded captions.
