The Online Practice Suite (OPS) is a set of complementary online activities for preservice teachers (PSTs) to engage in approximations of practice to develop their ability to facilitate argumentation-focused discussions in mathematics and science. It includes activities that are approximations of practice: focused practice spaces (FPS), small group avatar-based simulations (ABS), and whole-class (consisting of multiple small groups) virtual teaching simulator (VTS). The figure provides an overview of the pedagogical attributes of each approximation activity type, noting their affordances, similarities, and differences to showcase how each one complements the others.

The online version of the manual contains Parts 1, 2 and 3 (Chapters 1 through 12) of the printed manual. Chapters 4 through 11 include material you must know to pass the DMV written test for a Class D, DJ or E learner permit. The chapters have interactive quizzes with actual test questions.
The information in the manual is as accurate as possible at the time of publication, but is subject to change. This manual is intended to provide basic information and cannot possibly cover every traffic law or situation.
The 2008 civics practice test is a study tool to help you test your knowledge of U.S. history and government. Use this online tool in English to prepare for the civics portion of the naturalization test. The civics practice test is also available in Spanish, but please note that the actual test is in English.
The actual civics test is NOT a multiple choice test. During the naturalization interview, a USCIS officer will ask you up to 10 questions from the list of 100 questions in English. You must answer correctly 6 of the 10 questions to pass the civics test.
Certain applicants, because of their age and time as a lawful permanent resident, are exempt from the English requirements for naturalization and may take the civics test in the language of their choice. For more information, see our Exceptions and Accommodations page.
On the naturalization test, some answers may change because of elections or appointments. As you study for the test, make sure that you know the most current answers to the questions. Answer these questions with the name of the official who is serving at the time of your eligibility interview with USCIS. The USCIS officer will not accept an incorrect answer.
The instructions and content in this practice civics test are not intended to provide legal advice or guarantee that you will pass the civics test during your naturalization interview. If you have any questions, visit the Find Help in Your Community page.
There is only one version of the online practice test for each category of exam. Candidates registered for the Associate exam may purchase the Bachelors online practice test, which shares the same content outline. However, the passing score for the Bachelors practice test will be applied.
Only those registered to take the social work licensing exam may purchase the online practice test. In order to purchase the practice test, you must have your authorization to test number, which can be found on your Authorization to Test email sent by ASWB.

To introduce you to the exam format and to ensure that you are comfortable with the method of answering the exam questions, a practice quiz is provided before you begin your attempts at the full exam simulation. You may take this quiz as many times as you wish. The educational content of the quiz is just as important as what is contained in the exam simulation.

Students may perform better and with less anxiety if they are familiar with the format of the test and with the types of questions they will be required to answer. However, please note that test preparation is only useful to the extent that it is also teaching content area knowledge and skills. Therefore, the use of test preparation resources is of limited value to students due to the narrow opportunity for content learning. It is very important to ensure that teachers are teaching to the curriculum and not to the test, as teaching to the test narrows the focus of instruction to only that content covered by the test.
The Forward Exam Practice Test online provides students the opportunity to interact and become familiar with the testing system. Students practice using the tools available on the Forward Exam and familiarize themselves with how to maneuver in the system and work the different types of questions they will encounter. All students should be given the opportunity to utilize the Forward Exam Practice Test prior to actual testing. The Practice Test is not scored, and the online versions do not save responses.
The Practice Test contains samples of stimulus and test questions similar to those on the Forward Exam. Each sample test question has been through a rigorous review process by DRC, Wisconsin Educators, and a third party, to ensure alignment with the State Standards. These questions will not be used on the state assessment and may, therefore, be used in Wisconsin for professional development and student practice. The questions are a sample of the content and types of questions that students will encounter on the Forward Exam. Each question contains information about alignment (standard measured), answer key, depth of knowledge, and specific annotations.
The PDF version does not allow for a student to interact and become familiar with the online tools or testing system but does contains samples of stimulus and test questions similar to those on the Forward Exam. The PDF version of the practice test does contain an appendix that provides information such as: the answer key, alignment to a Wisconsin Academic Standard, depth of knowledge, and annotations.
The practice assessments below do not attempt to provide you with an exact experience of the assessments you may be asked to complete. Instead, they provide a similar testing experience, in terms of question types and formats, of the tests you will be asked to complete. Below are examples of the types of tests and/or questionnaires you may be asked to complete.
