We would like to inform the sled dog musher community not to close
their options by affiliating with SAFSS through their Clubs or as
individual mushers at this moment in time or be pressurized by some to
join them.

Please keep you options open for the South African Mushers Association
as the new Governing Body by waiting for the Inaugural Meeting to
experience first hand what SAMA has to offer.

This will enable you to make an informed decision regarding your
future affiliation.

How will SAMA be affiliated with IFSS? Will it be through WSA? If so then that will exclude all rescue huskies, and and Huskies without paper, because WSA only recognises pure breeds. That means there will be a lot of mushes that will not be able to join to get reconised

The WSA pure breed ruling only applies to events that are sanctioned
by the WSA, in other words, application was made directly to WSA to
sanction an event. They would then send a WSA representative to SA for
such an the event.

WSA is also associated with IFSS and therefore has a non-
discriminatory policy in general, all breeds can participate, but
points and prizes will only be awarded to registered pure breeds in a
WSA sanctioned event.

Rescues and unregistered Siberian Huskies will not be excluded or
discriminated against.

But if you belong to SAFSS all winners get rosettes even if your Husky is not a "pure Breed" then isn't it better to be affiliated directly with IFSS..
why don't you guys link up with them directly then????
