Hi Bishwas,

afaik, D2HawkEye has done a lot recently to the opensource field in Nepal. They have started an open source project hosting service at collaborate.d2labs.org and recently organized their first Nepal wide Opensource software competition.

And their willingness to sponsor one of the biggest FOSS Event in the country does show their commitment toward FOSS. This is doing no harm, instead I believe we're bringing new players to the OpenSource field, thus our community grows even stronger.

Comparing a proprietary company to thieves shows that you are totally mistaken about the whole concept of FOSS. Any company has its own right to develop applications as they want. Making it OpenSource or not is their own choice. Instead, the fact that proprietary software exists is a boost for opensource developers to compete and come up with a better product. I don't see how a company becomes thief unless they take Opensource code and sell it without giving credit to the original developers.

where is the philosophy and enthusiasm that started the FOSS
movement?? stallman will be a sad person if he knows about dis for
sure!!

Humm It hasn't gone anywhere! I as a part of the community feel proud of people like you who take FOSS philosophy to a personal level, but then I think we have to broaden our thought about FOSS and think more about the common benefits every player brings to the community and not focus on what it does on its own.

See you on Software Freedom Day (oops D-SFD)

Cheers!!
