Hi all,

I am using drupal6. I want to create a user registration form. The
form include various fields name, email password, games of interest:
(it contains check box) and captcha.

I have edited the profile and also installed modules like:
logintoboggan, rules, captcha. I have done the rest fields expect the
games of interest.

I have vocabulary items : games: indoor: chess, ludo, bowling, table
tennis, etc.... and outdoors:football, rugby, volleyball, cricket,
etc.... in hierarchy..

Now I want to list all these game items and on the form user can
select the the checkbox for each. or they may also wish to select all
indoor games or all outdoor games... I have tried using the checkbox
options available in profile form items but its single item. moreover
I didnot see any option to relate them to the vocabulary items. I have
no idea on how to do this. Seeking the help from u all...

Also Is it possible to arrange the items in the profile. I want first
and last name to appear above the existing email and password field...
How can i do that if possible?

My contact :
skype: prabinraz
email: prabin...@gmail.com.

Hi Prabin,
The problem with the default drupal profile is that it is not very
flexible. You cannot have multiselect and you cannot use taxonomy with
it. The option is to use content profile(http://drupal.org/project/
content_profile), Content profile allows to use content types or nodes
as profile. This enables us to use all the goodness of nodes like CCK
and taxonomy in profile and is thus more powerful and flexible. You
can also display those fields in the user registration form.

Hope this helps

Cheers

To use taxonomy items as checkbox use this module
http://drupal.org/project/taxonomy_super_select

But I read somewhere that it does not render hierarchical select
properly . In case that's the issue I think you should use separate
vocabulary for indoor and outdoor games.

hi Prashant,
I am not sure if I am doing it right.

When I was working with drupal default profile, with the help of logintoboggan and captcha, I had almost completed the form except the checkbox part.

but now in content profile page, How should i use them? I have added profile_node_form in captcha setting so it appears in the content profile page. but I am not able to use captcha in the form I have designed from content profile page. How do I use logintoboggan?

If you have example of content profile used for user registration, It would be of gr8 help for guidance.

cheers,

Prashant, One more thing.

The vocabulary appeared in the new profile page in checkbox format. But that is not what i want. I want it to be part of the user registration form i made using content profile.

its something like:
Fname:
Lname:
Email:
Password:
Repeat Password:
sports of interest:
Indoor:
chess [ ] carrom[ ] bowling [ ]
Outdoor:
football [ ] Cricket [ ] volleyball [ ]
Captcha
[                     ]

(SUBMIT)

but now I have the vocabulary checkbox when i click: create content> profile

Hi Prabin,
Content profile has a very good documentation. Go through the README.txt
inside the module folder. To use content profile in user registration
form you need to enable the submodule of content profile as well. Its
all mentioned in the readme file.

Regards
Prashant
